Answer 1 :
You need to get to Interstate 80 west and go 44 miles until exit 353. Then take US 81 South for 138 miles. Then continue on Interstate 135 south for 138 miles. Then take Interstate 35 (Wellington- Oklahoma-Kansas Turnpike) for 152 miles. After that there are many turns etc. Go to yahoo maps and enter Lincoln Ne. as start and College Station Tx as destination and you will get complete detailed directions. There are 25 steps and that is too much to list here

Answer 1 :
There's Amtrak service to Lincoln, Nebraska, but I don't see a train station at College Station, Texas or the closest town, Bryan. You'd have to identify how near College Station the train goes and determine how you'd travel from there to College Station. In general, when there is rail service where you need to go, it costs a lot less than air travel.

Answer 1 :
get a car and drive
Answer 2 :
Greyhound should work out the cheapest for you for Providence. It will take you to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan.
Answer 3 :
If you're referring to Providence, RI, take the train. Amtrak's Northeast Regional provides service between Providence and New York Penn Station. A one way ticket will cost about $60. You can also take the bus from Providence to New York City. Beside Greyhound, you can also take Megabus to and from NYC if you book early for $1. Good luck Native New Yorker
Answer 4 :
If you don't need to go right away, Megabus (same company as Coach USA) starts service on Aug 25 and has some impressively cheap tickets, a few as low as $1 each way. If you need to go before that, I agree you should take the train

About Why did Lincoln travel from Philadelphia to Washington for his inauguration if he lived in Illinois

Why did Lincoln travel from Philadelphia to Washington for his inauguration if he lived in Illinois?
I've heard a lot about how Obama is retracing Lincoln's train trip to Washington for the inauguration and Lincoln's trip started in Philadelphia. Why? Did Lincoln take the train from Illinois and THEN go from Philadelphia to Washington or did Lincoln go to Philadelphia for some historical significance before leaving for Washington? Thanks. And when do you think Yahoo will get around to putting Obama in the spell check? It's getting kinda pathetic and I didn't even vote for the guy!

Answer 1 :
Lincoln was worried about being assassinated en route to Washington, I'm not sure if they had secret service back then, and if they did, it was not as capable as it is now.
Answer 2 :
He's not recreating the whole trip, just the last leg. Doing the whole thing would be time consuming, plus there is a historical significance to Philadelphia. It's where the country was essentially born.
Answer 3 :
Might have been as simple as that was the way the train routes went at the time
Answer 4 :
Obama is in the spell check. If it's getting underlined when you type it, it's not Yahoo. It's your browser
