Hypothetically, if he could time travel into the past, what should Obama ask of Lincoln about racism?

Answer 1 :
Nothing. Lincoln did not even understand that word.
Answer 2 :
Lincoln was a racist. Just reference the lincoln/douglas debates.
Answer 3 :
Nothing. Lincoln didnt really care for freeing the slaves, he wanted to send them back to africa.
Answer 4 :
He should ask; 'Should I cry "RACIST!" when asked for my birth certificate?' Lincoln and his Republican abolitionists fought and died to free the slaves. Period. Have a little respect...
Answer 5 :
Don't tell liberals that Obama can't travel back in time. They think he can do anything. That's like telling a kid that Santa Claus doesn't exist.
Answer 6 :
He should ask him why he is so racist. I mean he's a Republican, so by liberal logic he must be a racist

About Did Abraham Lincoln Ever Travel Outside of the USA

Did Abraham Lincoln Ever Travel Outside of the USA??

Answer 1 :
yes probably (it's possible but actually don't know for sure). I know my great great great gran father who worked for him traveled to Cuba and France for business. Oh just to educate people on travel George Washington lived in BRIDGETOWN, Barbados. Yes George was our first President Washington slept here February 18, 2007 BRIDGETOWN, Barbados -- The newly renovated Barbados home where George Washington lived as a young man in 1751 has attracted hundreds of visitors from the United States and Britain only weeks after opening. The George Washington House and Museum, completed in mid-January after an eight-year restoration project costing nearly $3.5 million, honors the first U.S. president and documents his time in the Caribbean. The site in the Garrison Historic District, just outside Bridgetown, includes a yellow home in the Caribbean Georgian style with green shutters and louvered windows, stables, a bath house and a windmill. Washington came to Barbados -- the only foreign country he ever visited -- at age 19 with his older half-brother Lawrence, who suffered from tuberculosis. During his two-month stay, Washington rode around the island on horseback, saw his first fireworks shows and play and met the governor and generals. He also contracted smallpox, making him immune to the disease when it later claimed lives during the American Revolution
Answer 2 :
Yes, once he went to Washington DC
Answer 3 :
I believe the first president to travel abroad during his presidency was Theodore Roosevelt.
Answer 4 :
no travel abroad Lincoln, despite his total lack of travel abroad, established a competent record in foreign affairs. He generally deferred to Secretary of State Seward, but intervened at opportune times. The person above is correct, Roosevelt was the very first president to travel abroad.
Answer 5 :
No, Abe Lincoln never did travel abroad. During that time period, it was much more difficult and slow to travel long distances. Early presidents probably would've been accused of neglecting their duty as president if they travelled much outside the country.
Answer 6 :
I am afraid everyone is wrong Theodore Roosevelt was not the first President to travel outside the borders of the United States. The District of Columbia was and is kind of tricky to ciuntt impossible. He traveled through out the realms of Virginia, which is located in the CSA. God Bless You, Yours and Our Southerner People.
Answer 7 :
no

ok for the sunday on 4th of july travel weekeend I need to know!, what is the traffic like????? what is it like in the early evening? and how bad? what is the worst dfay of traffic for 4th of July weekend? WHAT WILL I FACE FROM LINCOLN TO BOSTON?????? LIke I work in Lincoln NH and have to leave right from work to a flight in Logan to San Francisco that is 4.5 hours right after my shfit. Lincoln to Logan is 135 miles, WILL I MAKE IT??????????????????????????????? I will try to go 66-72 the whole way.
Boston - 2 Answers

Answer 1 :
I always figured about 3 hours or a little more to get to Logan, park and get to the terminal. Add on the south bound traffic headed back and it will be close. If I were you I might try to get off work a little early that day or see if you can find a flight from Manchester and avoid the city traffic altogether.
Answer 2 :
As I stated in a previous iteration of this question, be sure to call your airline to find out how early you must arrive prior to your flight. Logan has 100% baggage screening and this will likely delay your boarding. Plan accordingly.. Be advised that patrols will be heavier than normal that weekend and 66-72 in a 55 may result in a 20 or so minute delay waiting for the trooper to run your license and issue your speeding ticket

Then take Interstate 35 (Wellington- Oklahoma-Kansas Turnpike) for 152 miles. After that there are many turns etc. Go to yahoo maps and enter Lincoln Ne. as start and College Station Tx as destination and you will get complete detailed directions. About How can i travel from Lincoln to College Station by railway

How can i travel from Lincoln to College Station by railway?
I am a newer in USA. And my girlfriend is in the Texas A&M University. I will often go to see her time. So I want to know how can i get there by railway. Is travelling by railway cheaper than by air?
Rail - 1 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
There's Amtrak service to Lincoln, Nebraska, but I don't see a train station at College Station, Texas or the closest town, Bryan. You'd have to identify how near College Station the train goes and determine how you'd travel from there to College Station. In general, when there is rail service where you need to go, it costs a lot less than air travel.

What is the cheapest way to travel/tourist Lincoln/providence to NewYork? any cheap way of travel or tourist?
New York City - 4 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
get a car and drive
Answer 2 :
Greyhound should work out the cheapest for you for Providence. It will take you to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan.
Answer 3 :
If you're referring to Providence, RI, take the train. Amtrak's Northeast Regional provides service between Providence and New York Penn Station. A one way ticket will cost about $60. You can also take the bus from Providence to New York City. Beside Greyhound, you can also take Megabus to and from NYC if you book early for $1. Good luck Native New Yorker
Answer 4 :
If you don't need to go right away, Megabus (same company as Coach USA) starts service on Aug 25 and has some impressively cheap tickets, a few as low as $1 each way. If you need to go before that, I agree you should take the train

About Why did Lincoln travel from Philadelphia to Washington for his inauguration if he lived in Illinois

Why did Lincoln travel from Philadelphia to Washington for his inauguration if he lived in Illinois?
I've heard a lot about how Obama is retracing Lincoln's train trip to Washington for the inauguration and Lincoln's trip started in Philadelphia. Why? Did Lincoln take the train from Illinois and THEN go from Philadelphia to Washington or did Lincoln go to Philadelphia for some historical significance before leaving for Washington? Thanks. And when do you think Yahoo will get around to putting Obama in the spell check? It's getting kinda pathetic and I didn't even vote for the guy!
Government - 4 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Lincoln was worried about being assassinated en route to Washington, I'm not sure if they had secret service back then, and if they did, it was not as capable as it is now.
Answer 2 :
He's not recreating the whole trip, just the last leg. Doing the whole thing would be time consuming, plus there is a historical significance to Philadelphia. It's where the country was essentially born.
Answer 3 :
Might have been as simple as that was the way the train routes went at the time
Answer 4 :
Obama is in the spell check. If it's getting underlined when you type it, it's not Yahoo. It's your browser
